Sponsorship
We have several sponsorship schemes to support the costs associated with New Hope Children’s Centre, Oakridge School and families in the wider community. Regular monthly giving allows us to plan ahead and provide consistent, long term support where it is needed most.
Child education
Child sponsorship is £7.50 a month and covers the costs associated with a childs education including school fees, stationery, uniform etc. Every penny donated goes towards education. This goes into one fund and all fees are paid centrally so not directly to the child/family. Sponsors will be matched with a named child and receive their photograph and information, along with our monthly newsletter and updates where possible on their progress.
Teacher
Teacher sponsorship for a year is minimum of £1,800. This covers the salary costs of a teacher at Oakridge School. Sponsors will receive details about the teacher and class you are supported, including their photograph and background, our monthly newsletter and updates throughout the year.
Family/ grandparent
Family/ Grandparent sponsorship is £10 a month. This goes direct to the family and covers the cost of basic foodstuffs such as flour, maize, rice and oil or medication. This ensures families are able to feed themselves each month. ponsors are matched with a named family/ grandparent and receive a photograph, information about them, our monthly newsletter and updates where possible.
Family based community houses
Instead of living at New Hope, family based community houses provide children with a safe, loving home where they live with a foster mother and other children in a family setting. This helps children grow up in a nurturing environment, experience a sense of belonging, and enjoy a more normal childhood as part of the local community. It costs £500 to set up each house to provide furniture, cooking facilities and other essentials needed to establish a new home. Sponsors who fund a house have the opportunity to name it (subject to approval) in recognition of their generosity.
